Become a registered Player and play in official Smoking Cat tournaments
Player registration can be done with one of the SCWU officials in person or electronically.
To register, you need to choose a player nick (which may be adjusted by the SCWU to match correct English spelling) and sign up for a club affiliation.
The dates of official SCWU tournaments are always announced at the start of the season, i.e. on 25 January on Frýbestr. Keep an eye on the current season listing—see Tournaments.
Founding a club
When joining an existing club, the SCWU consults the registration with the club’s captain, or a player can found their own club. This can be done entirely freely, and you can locate your club in any country on the planet.
When a player takes part in top-tier Smoking Cat events such as the World Series or the Team Championship, the flag of the country to which the club affiliation belongs will be raised.
A player may submit their own proposal for the club logo; if they don’t, the club logo will be created by the SCWU graphic designer.
Registering for tournaments
A registered player receives an invitation to Smoking Cat events at the email address under which they registered. Not all tournaments, however, are “open”, a player has to get acquainted with the tournament rules, for example here on the Tournament Tiers page, as well as with the conditions of player participation at a specific event.
