KK Bílá Hora were teaching again!

With the sponsorship support of Koloniál Sova, 15 male and female players participated, including defending champion Batbold and newcomer Sir Diamond, who was playing his first career tournament.

The favourites were, as ever, the players from the season’s strongest clubs—namely Maczka, Paczessa, Batbold, Petra, Havlas, Katarinator and above all the phenomenal Jooki, over whom, however, a question mark hung as to whether he’d recovered from his zero round at the Team Championship.

There was also, though, Mongolian Open winner Terra and several players competing without points eligibility, for example Fedazz and Marge. In short, very high-quality competition and an atmosphere of almost exclusively Czech music, which made conditions tougher for some players.

The topic of the tournament was unpleasant organisms from nature.

First round, first badge. Sir Diamond got a taste of what stepping in among the elite means and, together with Oldin, lost at table 3 (58%), just like co-favourite Paczessa at table 1. The weakest player of the round was Slavushka (38%). Here her long break, caused by maternity leave, showed. By contrast there were six 90’s%: Siisa, Fedazz, Petra, Batbold, Maczka and Havlas. Jooki and Katarinator shared the seventh position after the 1st round.

The tournament didn’t go Paczessa’s way; in the 2nd round too she played at 58% = a badge. The worst performance of the round was recorded by spoiled Havlas (50%).

"He wanted to send me off,"

he remarked laconically about Jooki, who once again failed to reach 80% but, as usual, had luck on his side. In the 2nd round, the chances of yet another player at the top of the standings collapsed. Batbold 61%! In the end the finals worked out for both KK Bílá Hora players, and the traditional finals dance could begin.

The finals narrowed after just 8 games, when indisposed Maczka left the tournament in sixth place, and Siisa’s run lasted another 6 games. Fedazz put together a streak of 8 clean games and was slowly becoming the favourite, but then came the déjà vu, and the 24th game of the finals decided that he would be the owner of the tournament’s final badge.

Victory was carried off by Katarinator, silver goes to the incredibly steady Petra and bronze to Jooki. Katarinator won a tournament for the first time in 9 years, since she dominated the national tournament Czech Open.

Current ranking

KK Bílá Hora have already reached 153 points in the team standings; in the player standings ahead of the World Series 2025, positions 1 (2x) are held by Kechup and Jooki, 5 by Anjelik, 11 by Katarinator, 16 by Glide.

Second-placed Midgard and third-placed Dashinchilen aren’t laying down their arms after the classics either, though.
