Turnaje kategorie Classics

The Classics tier tournaments are summer card challengers. Their popularity is a long-standing tradition.

Dates: May—September: 3 tournaments (2026) / Number of rounds: 3 (2 + final)

Number of players: 15 players—Each player may take part in only 1 Classics tier tournament.

Tier: CLASSIC TOUR

Scoring: The winner of a CLASSIC tournament is credited with 30 points in the season standings.

Players up to 10th place earn points according to their placement at the tournament under the Season Standings Scoring - see below.

Registration

Players register for the Classics tournaments from the day following the Team Championship. That is, from one minute after midnight. Players register, according to the dates and their own choice, for 1 Classic tournament - see below.

Licence / Entry fee: CZK 500 for the whole season

Registration deadline: 10 May 2026

Player seeding

Each player is entitled to take part in only one tournament of each Classics tier.
A player is entitled to play more tournaments, but scores in only one pre-selected tournament.

Priority for seeding into the Classics tournaments: 10 players according to the current season standings, wild cards (5 players).

Wild cards

Wild cards are assigned by the tournament organiser to players they arrange with, and the only thing they must consider is whether the invited players have not already played a tournament of the same tier. Players invited on a wild card have the option, instead of the year-round player licence, to pay the entry fee set by the organiser.

Send your registrations, binding you to participation in the tournament being held, to the headquarters of the Smoking Cat World Union.

Player registration at the tournament venue: 30 minutes before the start of the tournament.

Player line-up & Winner prediction contest

In the week before each tournament, the player line-up and the online winner prediction contest will be announced in our Facebook group.

The online prediction contest closes 60 minutes before the tournament start; predictions are made online only.
