Season 2025

The last National Tour tournament of the year was organised by the Black Dogs club from Ghana. AfroCat was held in Kladno for the seventh time, and this year it also marked a round milestone, becoming the hundredth tournament played in Smoking Cat within the SCWU.

The first major of the season, the 9th Team Championship, took place in prehistoric Únětice. With six elite teams competing, in the absence of Ghanaian Dogs and the colourful Bolivian Pumas, and under the watchful eyes of three experienced Ukrainian referees.

The grand 6th edition of the classic Désert Dessert 2025 tournament played out in the sweltering heat of Qatar. Under the baton of the hosting Doha Smoking Cats, the international tournament got under way surprisingly on time and right away in grand style.

On the second Sunday of September, Ďáblický Uul welcomed not only a lecture on vertical burial but, above all, the second edition of the Cat classic SeptemberFest.

This year’s Smoking Cat Elite season is shaping up to be a Bílá Hora coronation. Even before the World Series they could boast a crushing victory at the Team Championship and three more individual titles, and they could comfortably field all five players at the season’s biggest event. But another twenty-five players also entered the World Series, many of them motivated to beat KK Bílá Hora right here. Yet it all ended as it always does, as the classic would say.

Yacht Club CERE hosted, for the second and last time, the pinnacle tournament of the season’s best Smoking Cat Elite players—the Masters, open to just ten chosen few.
