JokeRiders Cup Tournaments

A unique event was the team exhibition tournament JokeRiders Cup, in which the teams of Czechia and the “rest” of the World traditionally faced off.

The team captaincy was handed over every year.
The tournament was invitational and mixed, with 4 ladies and 4 gentlemen starting on each side.

The placements of all players were added up as points for the opponent. The biggest score difference in the case of an absolute win by one of the teams (1st to 8th place for their players) is 100:36; the contest could also end in a 68:68 draw.

Besides souvenir items, a magnificent travelling trophy by the designer Pavel Šejc, the Leonardo of the 21st century, was at stake. In the event of a draw, the trophy stayed at the SCWU headquarters.

The best female and male player were guaranteed a spot at the Smoking Cat World Series.

Nomination rules for the JokeRiders Cup

Captains

The captains hand over their role from year to year after the tournament ends. The Czech captain must pass the figurative armband to a player from a different club, while the World captain passes it to a player from a different continent.

The World team

The World team must be made up of representatives of at least 4 continents and may not have more than 3 representatives from the same continent.

The Czech team

The Czech team must be made up of representatives of at least 4 clubs and may not have more than 3 players from the same club.
