The Smoking Cat card-playing season opens with a series of smaller tournaments hosted by individual countries (clubs) or even directly by continents.

Each player may take part in only 1 Nationals tier tournament.

Registration

You can register for the National Tour tournament, and thus for the whole season, until 1 Feb 2026, that is during the cat-lovers' off-season. Players register for 1 National tournament according to the schedule and their own preference.

Player seeding

Each player is entitled to take part in only one tournament of each Nationals tier.
A player is allowed to play more tournaments, but scores points in only one tournament chosen in advance.

Priority for seeding into Nationals tournaments: by final standing in the previous season's standings (8 players), wild cards (4 players).

Wild cards

Wild cards are assigned by the tournament organiser for players they arrange, and the only thing they must watch for is whether the invited players have not already played a tournament of the same tier. Players invited on a wild card have the option of paying an entry fee set by the organiser instead of the year-round player licence.

Send your registrations, binding by participation in the tournament being held, to the headquarters of the Smoking Cat World Union.
