Bílá Hora rules them all!

KANEC

The first round drew to a single table the all-time record holder for games played, the greatest player in history Jooki, and Sir Diamond, who plays on a junior exemption and lasted 13 games at the table. The weakest performances of the round, however, went to Niti and Auntie Cat, both at 44.44%. Terra played the best round with 92.86%. Also above 85% were Jooki, Augustyn, Havlas and Kocour.

KOBRA

Young Sir Diamond couldn’t hold his seat in the second round either, this time only 50%, just like his mentor Sir Ludwig. The weakest round again went to Auntie Cat, once more at 44.44%. In California they’d surely love to forget this season. The best round was a 100% from Glide; Terra played even better than in the first round at 93.33% for the second-best performance. Midgard, Niti and Maczka all played fantastically at 92.86%, and Augustyn put up an excellent 82.35%.

KRTEK

The decisive round came around at Žižkostel near six in the evening. David Novotný is a popular entertainer at the big tournaments, and he turned up here for a record fifth badge. His trouser pockets bulged with his fee.

Here Sir Diamond was caught out by his inexperience with all-day tournaments, managing only 8 games this time. But the reigning Masters champion Kerry was even one game quicker. Her tally for the round was a record in the negative sense. A 28.57% isn’t something you see every year, even at the World Series. On the other hand, a small consolation for the whole season was a 100%, a clean round for Ruprecht. Also above 90% were Siisa, Katarinator, Kechup, Anjelik and Petra.

Terra cashed in on the success of the first two rounds and qualified for the final from the top position with ease, followed by her teammate and life partner Siisa. Seats C and D at the final table were taken by the favoured KK Bílá Hora pair Jooki and Kechup; Petra sneaked into the final at the last moment and Augustyn held his place in it. Three more Bílá Hora players then made the TOP10, and it was clear the JokeRiders Cup would hardly change hands this year.

KRŮTA

The final of the 14th World Series saw what had happened so many times before. With a masterful game, the Bílá Hora duo first knocked former World Series winner Augustyn out of contention, then Terra almost immediately after, creating a situation where everyone simply waited to see whether Siisa or Petra would be left holding the short straw. But Petra apparently didn’t want Petra any more than Petra wanted her; perhaps Siisa wanted that turkey badge more, we’ll never know. In any case, ahead of bronze-medallist Petra, Bílá Hora comfortably secured its eighth World Series title, with five-time winner Jooki taking silver and shepherding the 2025 champion Kechup home.

A curiosity arose with the semi-official (not entered into the statistics—ed. note) World Series team competition, which the dominant KK Bílá Hora and Animais de Sintra had to share, prize and all. An unexpected complication.

Masters 2025 gala night

All five KK players qualified for Masters 2025, and so did Petra for Royal Vinohrady, but she announced she was ending her season with an Asian tour, and in the end Niti will replace her at the season’s closing tournament. According to the latest reports, even Glide’s appearance is in doubt, with Maczka likely to take his place. The line-up is rounded out by Midgard’s third player Augustyn, Terra and Siisa from Animais, and Kocour from Dashinchilen.

The Masters date was pushed back in hopes of a large crowd, and the Yacht Club is already looking forward to the coronation of the Player and Team of the Year and the presentation of the Masters scarf, the JokeRiders Cup and the Rony statuette.
