2026 Season Proposition

The 2026 Smoking Cats season will feature 10 ranked tournaments and one unranked novice tournament (GreenHorn Cat).

8 of the ranked tournaments are open to all players.

Scoring and Ranking

• In individual tournaments, the top ten players score points.
• If tournament participation is low, players finishing in the last two positions of the tournament do not earn points.
• Collective success in the Team Championship is also counted towards the season ranking—all you need to do is have your dream team and play Cat.

Counting Results

Each player can record up to 4 results during the season:

• from the Nationals tournament if only 10 players participate in the National tournament, players finishing in the last two positions do not earn points
• from the Classics tournament,
• at the World Series (SCWS),
• at the Team Championship if they play in a team.

The maximum possible number of points per season is 115. They are earned by the SCWS winner, who is also the winner of the Classics tournament, the National Tour tournament, a member of the winning team at the Team Championship, and also wins the Masters.

Rookies of the season do not score points in the GreenHorn Cat tournament.

Participation by category

• Each player is entitled to participate in only one tournament of each category — once at the Nationals, once at the Classics.
• A player may play two tournaments of the same category only if no other player is interested in the seat at the table.

Wild cards

• Wild cards are used by the tournament organizer for players they agree on.
• The only consideration is whether the invited players have not already played a tournament of the same category.

Other tournaments

The complete tournament calendar for the season has been published, but may be supplemented according to interest in other tournaments.

License / Entry Fee

500 CZK for the entire season.

Some tournaments allow entry for a one-time entry fee or for free.
